World’s first Bio Bank of Ayurveda at AIIA
Recently, the Minister of AYUSH has assured to set up the world’s first Bio Bank of Ayurveda at AIIA Delhi.
All India Institute of Ayurveda
- It has been envisaged as the apex institute of Ayurveda. It aims to bring synergy between the traditional knowledge of Ayurveda and modern tools and technology.
- Established in the year 2015, AIIA is a public Ayurveda medical and research institute based in New Delhi.
- It is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of AYUSH. The institute will offer postgraduate and doctoral courses in various disciplines of Ayurveda.
- It will focus on fundamental research of Ayurveda, drug development, standardization, quality control, safety evaluation and scientific validation of Ayurvedic medicine.
- The institute will also help in promoting medical tourism in India and showcasing the power of Ayurveda.
