UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN
Recently four years of ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) 2.0’ have been completed.
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is a flagship program of the Ministry of Education. It aims to involve the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the country in the indigenous development of self-reliant and sustainable village clusters.
The major areas of intervention are human development and physical (economic) development.
‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 1.0’ was kind of an invitation mode. Participating institutions were invited to be part of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. Whereas ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0’ is the challenge mode where all HEIs are required to adopt at least 5 villages voluntarily.
IIT Delhi is the National Coordinating Institute for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
