This pandemic has led to a drastic reduction in seasonal employment for sensitive sections of society (such as women etc.).Communities living in rural, remote and inaccessible areas (especially forest dependent communities) are not getting the benefit of health facilities.Therefore, this population has become very vulnerable to this epidemic.Therefore, the COVID-19 pandemic has not just emerged as a health crisis globally, but this pandemic has pushed 'Future We Want' beyond our reach.The COVID-19 pandemic is causing millions of deaths globally. Furthermore, it has pushed countless people towards absolute poverty. This pandemic has increased food insecurity globally. In addition, it has further widened the inequality gap.The world GDP has fallen by almost 3% in the year 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the Great Depression, this is the biggest drop in world gross product.The 'Global Forest Goals Report-2021' also mentions the decline of biodiversity at the global level. It has been reported that due to the destruction of forests, about one million species have been threatened with extinction globally. Because about 100 million hectares of tropical forests have been destroyed from the year 1980 to 2000.Suggestions of 'Global Forest Goals Report-2021'The challenges posed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change can be tackled together. For this, national governments and other stakeholders of various countries will have to work together.
