This species is marked under the category 'Arachnomimus Saussure'. This species of cricket called 'Jayanti' was recently discovered by zoologists in the Kurra caves of Chhattisgarh. It is named after Prof. JayantBiswas, the leading 'cave explorers ' of India. Professor Jayant greatly assisted the scientists with much hard work to find this species. Arachnomimus Arachnomimus is the genus name given by the Swiss Entomologist “Henri Louis Frédéric de Saussure” in the year 1878 to crickets that resembled like spiders.This is apt because crickets of this group are normally called spider crickets because of their smaller body size and long legs.
