SAGE Portal
- Recently, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched a ‘Senior care Aging Growth Engine’ initiative and the SAGE portal to help elderly persons.
- The SAGE portal will be a “one-stop access” of elderly care products and services by credible start-ups.
- The selected start-ups under this portal will provide new innovative products and services to elderly persons in various sectors like health, travel, finance, legal, housing, and food.
- The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will act as a facilitator for this scheme. Funds up to Rs.1crore will be provided to each selected start-up as lump sum equity.
