‘Pitch Black’ Exercise in Australia
Recently, aerial warfare exercise ‘Pitch Black’ will be organized between India and Australia.
The exercise will be conducted by the Australian Air Force later this month in which the Indian Army will participate along with 16 other countries.
It is a biennial exercise to enhance interoperability and strengthen relationships between participants.
It is a multinational warfare exercise. The exercise will be held in the Southern Hemisphere region, which is hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).
This will provide the Indian Air Force with a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with these countries in a dynamic combat environment.
It provides personnel from all nations with experience working with aircraft systems and work practices in the unique environment of Northern Australia.
17 countries are participating in it. These countries are: Australia, Canada, India, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and America.
