Recently “PARIVESH” a single window hub for Environment, Forest, Wildlife and CRZ clearances has been started.
- PARIVESH means “Pro-Active and Responsive facilitation by Interactive, Virtuous and Environmental Single-window Hub”.
- Ambient is a single window facility for Integrated Environment Management System. Under this, the entire process of submission of applications for various types of approvals by Central, State and District level departments, monitoring of applications and management of proposals by the Ministry has become online. Approvals include Environment, Forest, Wildlife and Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearances.
- According to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the average time taken for grant of environment clearance across all sectors had come down from 150 days in 2019 to less than 90 days in 2021.
- In addition to this, the Ministry has also decided to upgrade the Parivartan portal. It aims to provide a “single window solution” for the administration of environmental regulations.
