Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe: OSCE
India has appreciated the role of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in the wake of the Ukraine crisis.
About OSCE:
- OSCE originated from the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE) held in 1975.
- CSCE was established to serve as a multilateral forum for dialogue between East and West.
- Under this, a comprehensive approach related to security has been adopted. It covers political and military, economic and environmental and humanitarian aspects.
- It’s headquarter is in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
- It has 57 participants from three continents (North America, Europe and Asia).
- India is not a member of it.
