Recently, the Defense Ministry has issued an order to dissolve the Ordnance Factory Board. It is worth noting that this board was made effective from 1 October.
This step is being taken to implement the long awaited reform plan for induction of OFB.
Under OFB, assets, employees and operations of 41 ordnance factories will be transferred to seven public sector defense units.
The objective of incorporation is to improve efficiency, make products cost-competitive and enhance their quality.
