About clinker boats:
- Nordic clicker boats are small, open and wooden boats.
- The people of the Nordic region have been building clicker boats for almost two millennia. Basic techniques are used in making these. For example, using thin planks. These are attached with a metal nail, wooden nail or rope.
- Clicker boats are a symbol of the Nordic region’s shared coastal heritage. These were traditionally used for fishing and for transporting goods and people.
