Nobel Prize in Physics 2022
Recently the Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2022 has been announced for research in ‘Quantum Mechanics’.
- The Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2022 will be awarded to three scientists Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger.
- He has been rewarded for his research on the “entangling” behavior of quantum particles.
- Quantum entanglement is a phenomenon that shows how two subatomic particles can be related to each other even when they are billions of light-years apart.
- According to this theory, a change in one will affect the other, despite being so far away from each other.
- Scientists have also demonstrated a phenomenon called quantum teleportation. In this the characteristics of entanglement are used.
- It can be used by the object to send information to some other place. The result of this research is important for fields such as quantum computers, quantum networks and quantum cryptography. All these are routes created for secure communication networks.
- Quantum technology is based on the principles of quantum mechanics. This theory describes the behavior of particles such as atoms, electrons and photons, and almost every component of the molecular and sub-molecular fields.
There are two basic principles of quantum mechanics: quantum entanglement and quantum superposition.
Quantum superposition theory holds that subatomic particles exist in multiple states at the same time.
