New species of Litoria Mira frog
Recently, a new species of frog named Litoria Mira has been discovered in the rainforests of New Guinea. The color of this frog is chocolate.
The frog’s name ‘Litoria Mira’ is inspired by the Latin adjective mirum, which means surprised or strange.
‘Litoria Mira’ is different from other frogs of the Litoria class. Its size is slightly larger than normal and has webbed hands, relatively short and strong limbs and small purple spots on the skin around the eyes.
The ‘Torres Strait’ acts as a separator between ‘New Guinea Island’ and ‘Queensland’, Australia.
