Researchers in China have detected another new virus ‘NeoCov’. It is being said that it is more dangerous than Corona.
- This new virus has been found in South Africa and it spreads very fast.
- According to scientists from Wuhan University, this virus enters human cells in the same way as the corona virus.
- ‘NeoCov’ is a bat corona virus, this virus was first identified in 2011.
- It was identified in a species of bat known as ‘Neoromicia’, hence the name ‘NeoCoV’.
- Commonly known as ‘Aloe Bats’, this species is found in the Afro-Malagasy region. The NeoCoVvirus genome is 85% identical in sequence to MERS-CoV.
