NATO’s Steadfast Defender 21 battle Drills
Recently, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has organized war exercise “Steadfast Defender 21 War Games” in Europe due to increasing tension with Russia.
NATO troops, warships and dozens of aircraft are participating in this war exercise. This war exercise is taking place all over the Atlantic, Europe and the Black Sea region.
Steadfast Defender 2021 – NATO
- This war exercise is being organized with the aim of retaliating in case of attack on one of the members of NATO. It also wants to test NATO’s ability to deploy troops from the US.
- Russia’s decision last month to send thousands of troops to the border area with Ukraine has raised concern at the military alliance, which launched one of its biggest ever defense spending initiatives after Russian troops annexed Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula in 2014.
- NATO has stated that, these military exercises do not specifically target Russia.
North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
- NATO is an intergovernmental military alliance of 30 European and North American countries. The organization is headquartered in Belgium. NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization – NATO) operates according to the North Atlantic Treaty. The treaty was signed in 1949. NATO includes a system of collective defense. In this, if a member is attacked by a foreign country, then all the countries of the organization provide defense to each other.
