Recently, the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare inaugurated the centenary year celebrations of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal (Haryana).
National Dairy Research Institute
It was established in the year 1923.
It is a pioneer institute in the field of teaching, research and extension education.
The R&D activities of this institute are mainly focused on the following:
- Production and management of dairy animals for better productivity,
- To innovate suitable milk processing technologies and equipment, and
- To make Dairy a self-sustaining and profitable business.
