Jeevan Vayu Device
Recently the country’s first electric free ‘Continuous Positive Airway Pressure’ (CPAP) device ‘Jeevan Vayu Device’ has been developed by ‘Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar’.
Main point
It is to be known that, this is the first such device in the country which works even without electricity and will work successfully for both types of oxygen production units like oxygen cylinders and oxygen pipelines in hospitals.
What is CPAP?
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), a problem with breathing while a person is asleep, called ‘sleep apnea’, is a treatment modality for such patients. This machine uses light air pressure to keep the air passages open for easier breathing.
