Israel-United Arab Emirates (UAE) Trade Pact

Recently Israel has signed a free trade agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is Israel’s first such agreement with an Arab country.

It is based on the Abraham Agreement concluded in American arbitration.

This agreement was signed in the year 2020 between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Later Morocco also joined it.

Under the agreement, there has been a call to normalize diplomatic relations between these countries. At the same time, the decades-old Arab policy, which insisted on the creation of a Palestinian state before establishing ties with Israel, was also abandoned.

As a result of the agreement, 96% of the products traded between these countries are expected to be granted customs duty exemptions sooner or later.
