Haiderpur wetland in Uttar Pradesh
Recently India has designated Haiderpur wetland as 47th Ramsar site of the country.
- Ramsar is a wetland site. It is named under the Ramsar Convention. This convention is an intergovernmental environmental treaty. This treaty came into force in the year 1975.
- Haiderpur wetland is located on the Muzaffarnagar-Bijnor border in Uttar Pradesh.
- It was formed in the year 1984 by the construction of the Madhya Ganga Barrage at the confluence of the Solani and Ganga rivers. It is a part of Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary.
