Global Liveability Index 2022
This index is published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). In this index, 173 cities have been ranked on the basis of their livability or living conditions.
This ranking is provided on the basis of five factors. These factors are sustainability, health care, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
Most of the weightage is given to culture and environment and sustainability.
Key findings of report
- Delhi has been ranked as the best livable city in India. It is followed by Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore.
- It ranks Vienna as the best livable city.
