ELDERLINE 14567 : A toll-free helpline for elderly persons
- The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has started state-wise call centers in 5 major states under the ELDERLINE An effort will be made to address the problems of the elderly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Efforts are being made to introduce ELDERLINE toll-free helpline service by the end of May 2021 in all the states of the country. The number of these call centers is 14567, which can be contacted by dialing.
- Currently, this service is already operational in 5 states, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. In Telangana, the facility has been in operation for over a year.
