Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan 46th Death Anniversary
On 17 April, the death anniversary of the first Vice President of Independent India, and the second President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, was celebrated.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan
- Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5 September 1888 in Tiruttani village of Chittoor district of the then Madras Presidency.
- Radhakrishnan was a renowned philosopher, along with a teacher, and he became the President of India in the year 1962 and held this position till 1967.
- He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly from 1947 to 194 He was nominated 16 times for the Nobel Prize in Literature and 11 times for the Nobel Peace Prize.
- After a long illness, Radhakrishnan died on 17 April He was posthumously awarded “The Templeton Prize” by the US Government in 1975.
