Recently, Guinea has long been a victim of political instability. After the dismissal of a senior commander appointed in the Special Forces some time ago, there has been unrest in the country again.

The removal of the senior commander in Guinea has prompted some highly trained military members to rebel and even attempt to seize the presidential residence.


  • Guinea is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean in the west.
  • Guinea is a predominantly Islamic country, and 85 percent of its population is Muslim.
  • It is famous for the ‘Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve’ located in the southeast.
  • The sovereign country of Guinea is a republic whose president is directly elected by the people.
