Celebrations of 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

Recently celebrated the 400th light year of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru, and the youngest son of Guru Hargobind Sahib.

He was ranked 9th out of 10 Sikh Gurus.

He is also known as “Hind ki Chadar” (protector of Hinduism), as he sacrificed his life to save Kashmiri Pandits and Hinduism. For this he was hanged in Delhi in the year 1675 on the orders of Aurangzeb.

His 115 hymns are included in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
