Capacity Building Programme (CBP) at NCGG campus, Mussoorie
Recently, the National Center for Good Governance (NCGG) launched the 60th Capacity Building Program for Civil Servants of Bangladesh.
Key facts:
- A 2-week capacity building program for Bangladesh civil servants (60th batch) was inaugurated at the NCGG campus in Mussoorie.
- NCGG has signed an MoU with the Government of Bangladesh to enhance the skills and capabilities of an additional 1,800 civil servants by 2025.
- Till date, a total of 2,145 officers from Bangladesh have been trained by NCGG.
- The training program aims to encourage exchange of information, knowledge and innovative ideas while promoting adoption of best practices and digital governance.
- By enhancing the sensitivity and accountability of administrative officials, the program seeks to bring about greater efficiency and effectiveness in public administration.
- In partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, NCGG has provided training to administrative officials from 15 countries viz. Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, Tunisia, Seychelles, Gambia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Laos, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Cambodia.
National Center for Good Governance
- The National Center for Good Governance was formed in the year 2014 by the Government of India.
- NCGG is an autonomous institute under the aegis of Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India.
- Its headquarter is in New Delhi and branch office is in Mussoorie.
- NCGG has been established to help improve governance through studies, training, knowledge sharing and promotion of good ideas.
- The center is working in the area of public policy, governance, reforms, training and capacity building of government officials of the country.
