Amy Pope Elected Next Director General of the International Organization for Migration
Recently, Ms. Amy Emie has been elected the first woman Director General of the International Organization (IOM) for Amy Pope’s migration.
Member countries of the International Organization for Migration for Migration Agency “International Organization-Iom” elected Ms. Amy E. Pope as its next Director General during the 6th special session of the IOM Council on 15 May 2023.
Ms. Pope is the first woman to become the Director General of IOM. She will hold the post of Director General for a five -year term starting from October 2023.
Established in the year 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is a leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and is committed to the principle that human and systematic migration benefits migrants and society.
The IOM is part of the United Nations system in the form of elated organization.
