5 Portals on AYUSH Sector Launched by Ministry of AYUSH

Recently Ministry of AYUSH has launched five portals on AYUSH sector.

It aims at maximizing the role of AYUSH in the Indian Digital Health Mission and creating a repository of traditional knowledge systems in which the national heritage, customs and traditions will be preserved.

Overview and Importance of Portals Launched:

  • Ayurveda dataset on Clinical Trial Registry-India (CTRI): CTRI is accredited under the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform of the World Health Organization (WHO). With the creation of the Ayurveda data set at CTRI, the clinical trials now being conducted under Ayurveda all over the world will be more easily accessible.
  • Research Management Information System Portal (RMIS) developed by Central Council of Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS): It is a single point solution for research and development in Ayurveda based studies
  • E-MEDHA (Electronic Medical Heritage Accession) Portal: With the help of National Informatics Center (NIC), the catalog of more than 12000 Indian Medical Heritage Manuscripts and Books stored in the e-Granthalaya platform will be available online.
  • Ayush Manuscripts Advanced Repository) Portal: The portal has digitized the rare and difficult-to-find manuscripts and catalogs of AYUSH in libraries or personal collections in India or other parts of the world.
  • SAHI (Showcase of Ayurveda Historical Imprints) Portal: Information on inscriptions, archaeo-botanical information, sculptures, philological sources and advanced archaeological genetic studies will be available.

Full-Form of AYUSH :

  • AAYURVEDA: A way of life for positive health and spiritual attainment.
  • YOGA: To establish harmony between the heart and the body. Naturopathy (NATUROPATHY) The human body is capable of self-healing.
  • UNANI: Healthy soul can be created only by a healthy body.
  • SIDDHA: The state of food and digestion is of utmost importance in the circumstances of being healthy or being sick both.
  • HOMOEOPATHY: Natural diseases are treated by such substances which themselves produce effects like disease/pain.
