36th CISO Deep-Dive Training Programme
National e-Governance Division (NeGD) organized the 36th Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) comprehensive analysis training program under a special project aimed at enhancing its capabilities.
24 participants from Central Ministries and States and Union Territories participated in the exercise session organized at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
This training program is a part of a series of workshops organized under the Cyber Secure India initiative.
Cyber Secure India Initiative:
- The Cyber Secure India initiative was conceptualized with a mission to spread awareness about cybercrime and build the capacity of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and frontline IT officers in all government departments.
- It was launched in the year 2018 by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and various industry partners in India.
Chief Information Security Officer Detailed Analysis Training Program:
This training is a first of its kind partnership between the government and industry associations under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
Objective:
- Create awareness about the emerging scenario of cyber threats.
- Provide in-depth understanding of cyber related solutions.
- Formulation of framework, guidelines and policies related to cyber security.
- Sharing best practices to learn from successes and failures.
- Provide vital information on cyber security related issues for informed decision making in their respective functional area.
Participant:
The program is conducted for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and frontline IT executives from various Ministries and Departments, Government and Semi-Government Organizations of Central and State Governments, PSUs and Banks, among others.
Training:
- The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) provides logistic support for arranging the training programmes, while the industry association provides technical support for the training.
- Industry training partners are Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Palo Alto Networks, E&Y and Dell – EMC, NIC, CERT-In and CDAC are government partners.
